The Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival, which runs from November 9th - 12th at the Harlingen Convention Center, is seeking volunteers (age 16 and up) to help with activities in the Children's Area during the event.
The children's activities will run from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, November 11th and Sunday, November 12th from 10 am to 4 pm. Volunteers are asked to work at least one 4-hour shift.
4-hour shifts are as follows:
9 am to 1 pm: Saturday (includes set-up)
12:30 pm to 4:30 pm: (includes clean-up)
9:30 am to 1:30 pm: Sunday (includes set-up)
1:00 pm to 5 pm: Sunday (includes take-down)
Full day shifts are as follows:
9:30 pm to 4:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday
Please plan on arriving at least 10 minutes prior to your shift in order to sign-in and be assigned to an area.
Volunteers who work at least 4 hours will receive a free registration to the festival, a free pass to the seminars, and an invitation to the Survivor's Party / BBQ Dinner on Sunday evening. Note: Volunteers who work a full day shift, will be provided with a staggered 1-hour lunch break.
All volunteers will be contacted at least 1 week prior to the event with additional information and assignments.
