The Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center will be hosting a Beginner Fishing Program at the Edinburg Municipal Park on July 10th from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM. Participants will be learning basic fishing skills such as tackle assembly, fishing knots, baits and lures, fish ID, fishing regulations, and practicing fishing with a rod-and-reel combo at one of the city ponds.
Volunteers are needed to help with making sure participants are ready to fish, provide participants with bait, and help if participants' lines are tangled, provide any supplies participants need to continue fishing.
