The Salvation Army of McAllen, Tx. Hidalgo County will be distributing 1,000 fresh produce food boxes until supplies last. We have partnered with Valley Baptist Mission and Orthal Brand Jr. to provide boxes containing fresh fruits and vegetables to those in need in our community.
We do have an age requirement it’s 18 years of age and over. Please let me know by email if you are interested /or have any questions in volunteering.
- All volunteers must wear closed shoes, have long hair pulled back, and wear pants and t-shirts. No sleeveless shirts or sandals allowed.
- The Salvation Army will provide to volunteers face mask, gloves, aprons, hand sanitizer at our door and restroom facilities to wash hands.
- Procedures and policies will be given upon arrival. Requesting all personal items such as handbags and backpacks be left in the vehicle.
- Minimal exposure to the public by volunteers. Volunteers will only be putting food boxes in vehicles, directing traffic, and other tasks way from the general public.
