About the Opportunity
Gracious Hearts is hosting a Galentine’s Brunch designed to create a safe, joyful, and welcoming space for women and children. This event focuses on community, dignity, and care, and volunteers play a vital role in helping make this experience meaningful and supportive for all attendees.
Volunteer Shifts
Volunteers may choose one of the following shifts based on availability:

Shift 1: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Shift 2: 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM
-
Full Shift: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Flexible scheduling is available, and volunteers are welcome to serve either a partial or full shift.
Volunteer Duties
Volunteers will assist with various event needs, including but not limited to:

Event setup and breakdown

Greeting and welcoming guests

Serving food and beverages
-
Assisting women during their time in the closet
-
Assisting with children’s activities and supervision

Helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
-
Supporting event staff with additional tasks as needed
Assignments will be given based on event needs and volunteer availability.
Volunteer Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
-
Teen volunteers may assist with children’s activities with approval
-

Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team

Comfortable serving women and children in a trauma-informed environment

Respectful, compassionate, and professional demeanor
-
Ability to stand, walk, and assist with light lifting as needed
Volunteer Expectations

Arrive on time for the selected shift

Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of all guests

Treat guests, staff, and fellow volunteers with kindness and respect

Follow Gracious Hearts’ volunteer guidelines and leadership direction
-
Notify organizers in advance if unable to attend the scheduled shift
