Join the Environmental Awareness Club and The Lennox Foundation Southmost Preserve in supporting the restoration of the Tamaulipan thornscrub habitat! Volunteers will help create native plant bands by planting seeds and seedlings in soil trays. These efforts will contribute to growing native species used to restore and protect South Texas ecosystems.

Volunteer Duties:
Participants will assist with:

  • Preparing seedling trays and filling them with soil

  • Planting native seeds and labeling plant bands

  • Learning about local plant species and conservation work

Please wear comfortable outdoor clothing and bring a hat, water, and snacks. All materials and instructions will be provided. No experience is required — just enthusiasm for nature and conservation
