Join Us for Latino Conservation Week at Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge!
Help us celebrate and share the beauty of wetlands at Adventures in Wetlands, kicking off Latino Conservation Week on Saturday, September 13th from 9 AM to 12 PM at Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge!
The Friends of the Wildlife Corridor (FWC) is seeking volunteers of all skill levels—whether you’re simply enthusiastic about nature and conservation, an expert birder, or a skilled kayaker, there’s a place for you.
Volunteer Roles:

Activity Tables: Assist with family-friendly, nature-based activities (no experience needed).

Greeters & Crowd Control: Welcome visitors, provide directions, and share information (bilingual preferred).

Wetlands Walks: Lead guided nature walks (expert birder or botanist preferred).

Kayaking Activity Assistance: Support kayaking activities (lifeguard/ACA certification preferred).

Set-Up & Take-Down: Help prepare and wrap up the event (tables, chairs, activity stations).
Volunteer Perks:
FWC is launching our new member drive—all new members and volunteers receive free event entry and are entered into our raffle!
Requirements:
No prior training or certifications are necessary. Volunteers will sign a waiver with the refuge on the day of the event.
