LIFE Mentor

Description

LIFE Mentors are responsible for serving families who are facing unplanned pregnancies by providing confidential mentorship and guidance. Mentorship can be provided one-on-one and/or through small groups.

LIFE Mentors are expected to minister to families on topics pertaining to abstinence encouragement, abortion education & awareness, infant loss/grief, all while encouraging salvation and guidance for a strong relationship with Jesus Christ.

Volunteer Requirements:

1.     Be a committed Christian and member in good standing of an area church, who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord;

2.     Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life;

3.     Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and policies of PRC;

4.     Have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent;

5.     Exhibit strong skills in interpersonal communication;

6.     Exhibit strong listening skills;

7.     Ability to keep information confidential;

8.     Be able to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision.

9.     Experience in counseling, mentoring, and teaching (preferred)

10.    Bachelor’s degree (or pursuit of a degree) in Social Work/Psychology (preferred)

11.    Must be 18+ (Females preferred)

TRAINING: (For all needs coming from Pregnancy Resource Centers)

Making Life Disciples (MLD) is a 12-session course that equips you with a gospel-centered, holistic, and non-political approach to caring for those considering abortion.
