On December 16th, 17th, and 18th, we will be hosting school groups for scheduled educational activities including a shark dissection, a guided tour of our facility, marine debris presentation, and or a seaweed pressing session.
Volunteer duties:
- Support educational activities such as leading.
- Assisting in hands-on experiences (e.g., shark dissections, seaweed pressing, and tours).
They should be able to engage with students, answer questions, and help facilitate a positive learning environment.
Skills required:
- Strong communication skills
- Enthusiasm for marine science
- Speaking to groups
Volunteers can arrange training with Ms. Jennifer Brouwen (jennifer.brouwen01@utrgv.edu) at least a week in advance, allowing time to prepare them with the necessary presentation materials.
