McAllen Holiday Parade Presented by La Plaza Mall and Christmas in the Park is a 2 day event with more than 200,000 attendees. The Parade takes place on Saturday, December 2nd and begins in the McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium, traveling from the Stadium South 1.5 miles along Bicentennial Blvd.
To its end at Business 83. The Parade 2017 theme is “The Magic of Christmas” and will feature forty five illuminated beautifully decorated floats featuring holiday favorites and popular movies, 36 Giant Helium Balloons holiday favorites such as the Grinch and Santa as well as favorite characters Kermit the Frog, fifteen illuminated and award-winning Marching Bands, and Celebrity Appearances to take place in the festivities before, during and after the parade.
Christmas in the Park takes place in McAllen Municipal Park on Friday, December 1st and Saturday December 2nd. It features two stages of live entertainment, a carnival, interactive games, kiddie rides, Santa Claus, festival food and entertainment for the entire family.
