Who We Are
Holy Family Services is the longest licensed free standing birth center in Texas and the only birth center in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) operated solely by Certified Nurse-Midwives! Founded in 1983 by four Catholic sisters, we continue to uphold their mission by being a place where faith is valued and providing safe and affordable family-centered maternity care to families in the RGV. Our strongest focus lies in honoring and protecting the natural processes of pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding, while preserving and respecting individuality, human dignity, and cultural variation.
What We Do
The mission of Holy Family Services is to provide maternal and infant care in the context of the family. Services will be rendered in a God-centered environment of compassion and love. Every individual, as God's creation has a right to safe, satisfying health care with respect for human dignity and cultural variations. The individual has the right to self-determination, to adequate knowledge, and to achieve participation in all aspects of care.
