Who We Are

The City of McAllen is committed to enhancing the arts and cultural experience by delivering the most advanced performing arts center south of San Antonio and bringing a wider variety of entertainment and live performances that have never been possible before in South Texas.

What We Do

The McAllen Performing Arts Center (MPAC) relies on a dedicated team of qualified volunteers to serve as an Ambassador of the Arts. Ambassadors represent the MPAC by performing a variety of guest-focused duties such as, but not limited to - ushers, ticket takers, greeters, and elevator operators. Ambassadors will gain exclusive behind-the-scenes experience unparalleled in the Rio Grande Valley. As an Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of nationally recognized music, dance, and theatre productions presented in our state-of-the-art facility. We invite you to serve as an Ambassador of the Arts and join the City of McAllen in making South Texas history.

 

Serve as Ticket Taker, Usher, Guest Services, and Elevator Operator.

Pre-requisites:

Must be a registered and CLEARED Ambassador of the Arts to register for specific show volunteer opportunities.

  • Minimum age of 18
  • Be a registered Ambassador of the Arts who has registered online, submitted required documents, received training with MPAC staff, has received their Volunteer I.D. badge, and is considered a CLEARED Ambassador of the Arts - Volunteer.
