HOPE for Small Farm Sustainability

H.O.P.E for Small Farm Sustainability (HOPE for SFS) is a nonprofit educational organization that provides hands-on training for farmers or individuals interested in organic agriculture. We are funded by the USDA to create a new generation of organic farming here in the Rio Grande Valley. Additionally, our organization aims to increase food access to low-income communities through Farmers' Market Nutritional Programs where we offer either free vouchers or money back for purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables.
H.O.P.E for SFS believes food access is important and if you are unable to afford healthy organic food, you can grow it!
We provide garden, farming, and cooking classes to both adults and youth. We mentor future farmers and help them locate government financial resources to support them. We care for the health of our environment and our local families through food. We believe what you eat can either fight off or feed diseases in the body. Additionally, by working in the garden and being in touch with nature, you are healing the body and improving your mental health.
