Who We Are
ABOUT ACCESS ESPERANZA CLINICS
Access Esperanza’s mission is to provide education, advocacy, and affordable, high-quality health care so women and men in our community can access the sexual and reproductive health services they need.
What We Do
Our services provide opportunities and hope for brighter, healthier futures. State and federal programs help us offer free to low-cost healthcare to our patients. Most of our patients pay nothing for their healthcare at our clinics.
Our clinics offer preventive healthcare, including reproductive physical exams, contraception, STI testing and treatment, and screenings for breast, cervical, and testicular cancers, diabetes, lipids, and hypertension. Our clinics- McAllen, Edinburg, Mission, and Weslaco- offer birth control information and supplies on a patient's first visit. Ongoing patients may receive a year or more of birth control supplies at a time.
Our community programs educate people about healthy lifestyles, preventive screenings, contraception, and family planning. To schedule a presentation or receive information about our program for your group, email us at info@accessclinics.org or call 956-688-3700.
Why we do what we do
Women who can prevent unplanned pregnancies have safer births, are healthier, have healthier children, stay in school long, and earn more. When pregnancies are planned, the risk of family violence is less, and dads are more likely to be involved in the children's lives.
Prevention works! Every $1 invested in public family planning programs saves taxpayers over $7 in Medicaid prenatal and birth costs.
Access Esperanza Clinics Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Funding for patient services comes from the Department of State Health Services and the federal Title X family planning program. Private foundations and donations also fund patient services and educational programs.
