Description

Quinta Mazatlan is seeking participants to assist with the maintenance and care of our Tiny Forest habitat near Palm View Community Center in McAllen, TX.

A Tiny Forest is a dense, fast-growing native forest designed to restore biodiversity, reduce urban heat, and support local wildlife in small urban spaces. These forests require ongoing hands-on care to ensure healthy growth and ecological success.

Participants will support outdoor conservation work focused on maintaining the Tiny Forest environment.

Responsibilities include:
• Removing invasive vines and unwanted grass
• Picking up litter and debris within the forest area
• Supporting general site preparation for seasonal forest care
• Assisting with basic outdoor maintenance tasks as needed

This is an outdoor, physically active opportunity. Participants should wear appropriate clothing for weather conditions and be prepared for hands-on environmental work.

Parking will be located at the Elk’s Lodge due to limited on-site availability.

Once participants register, the required waiver will become available within the registration process. Please download, print, and bring the completed waiver with you on the day of the activity.
