Then this Student Assistant (researcher) opportunity might be for you! Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. is offering a unique, multifaceted experience to students interested in learning more about survey methods, while also helping to collect data that will support neighborhood revitalization in our community.
NeighborWorks America is a nationally recognized leader in affordable housing and creating opportunities for neighborhood revitalization and investment. The local NeighborWorks affiliate, Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc., is embarking on an ambitious project that will seek to understand the perception of local residents of their neighborhood and how things are changing.
Approximately 200 to 300 resident surveys will be collected in your community between April and September and many sites will need assistance in data entry and coordination. Through this work, you will be helping Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. learn more about their local impact, its national significance and how the two are interrelated. All the while helping to build the narrative of how our communities are getting better through various initiatives and activities.
REQUIRMENTS:
- General data entry skills (web-based data entry)
- Ability to navigate web-based applications
- Clerical tasks requiring capability in use of Excel, Word, and Email
- Good communications skills both written and verbal
- Adaptive and fast-learning
- Self-motivated
- Flexible
