Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help make the Cosmic Glow 5K a safe, organized, and memorable event as the organization celebrates its 50th Anniversary!
Volunteers will support various aspects of the event, including preparing the race route, assisting participants, and helping with general event operations. Duties may include:
- Assisting with event setup and race route preparation
- Placing cones and course markers along the designated route
- Providing traffic and pedestrian guidance at assigned locations
- Helping ensure participants remain on the designated race route
- Distributing water and refreshments to participants
- Assisting with check-in and registration packet distribution
- Providing general event support as needed
This is a great opportunity for students to gain hands-on event experience, connect with the community, and support a local nonprofit dedicated to expanding affordable housing opportunities throughout South Texas.
Volunteers should be comfortable working outdoors, standing for extended periods, and working collaboratively as part of an event team.
