Lead or assist youth in gardening activities to teach responsibility, environmental awareness, and practical gardening skills. Sessions may be 45 minutes to 2 hours, and volunteers can participate as little as once a week or as often as daily.
Volunteer Role: Teach or assist children about planting, maintaining, and caring for gardens while promoting teamwork and environmental education. Volunteers may participate as a lead instructor or assistant depending on their experience level.
Volunteer Requirements: Basic knowledge or interest in gardening is welcome; ability to supervise youth and encourage hands-on learning.
Materials: If you already have an activity planned and require specific materials, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Edinburg will gladly provide them.
Times: Flexible during program hours; sessions 45 min – 2 hrs. (M-F 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
