Program and Activity Assistance

Volunteers needed to help as Classroom Assistance to run Boys & Girls Club of America curriculum that instill education, the arts, health and wellness, sports, career development, and character and leadership.  The need is great at our two Club House sites located on the South side at 2620 West Galveston Ave, McAllen, TX 78501 and the North Side at 4501 N 34th St., McAllen, TX 78504.  Assistants may be placed in different age groups such as 6-7, 8-9, 10-12, and Teens 13-18 years of age.  Duties may include but are not limited to assisting with activity preparation, cleaning classrooms, managing student behavior and engagement, and decorating classrooms with current themes. 

Volunteers are required to submit a Volunteer Application and Criminal Background Check and a charge of $7.00 must be paid in cash or credit before volunteering can begin to the Boys & Girls Club of McAllen Administration Offices located at 2620 W Galveston Ave, McAllen, TX 78501.  If anyone has any questions, they may contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Angie Solis at (956) 682-5791 or email asolis@bgcmcallen.net.
