Want to impact residents in Hidalgo and Starr Counties?
Help the United Way of South Texas through its VITA Program (Voluntary Income Tax Assistance Program) to assist low-to-moderate income ($54,000 or less) families in Hidalgo and Starr Counties prepare their tax returns. IRS trainings and certifications are provided, free of charge.
"Tax Preparers" are volunteers that are trained and certified to become tax preparers. There are 12 sites open in Hidalgo and Starr Counties. We will place you at the most convenient location to you.
The VITA Program provides meaningful volunteer opportunities in which volunteers have a "real" impact on the customers.
