This festive event combines a Christmas toy distribution with a car show, spreading holiday cheer and honoring local heroes. The toy distribution is aimed at providing gifts to children in underserved communities, ensuring they have a joyful Christmas. The car show celebrates local automotive culture, featuring a display of classic, custom, and unique vehicles. The event creates an opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy the holiday season, and show support for families in need.
Volunteer duties:
- Toy Sorting & Distribution: Volunteers will help sort and organize toys for distribution. They will also assist in handing out toys to children during the event.
- Car Show Management: Volunteers will direct cars to their designated parking spots, assist with registration, and ensure the car show runs smoothly.
- Event Setup & Cleanup: This includes setting up booths, organizing toys, setting up decorations, and cleaning up after the event.
- Crowd Management & Safety: Volunteers will help manage the crowd, ensuring safety around the toy distribution area and car show. They will also assist with parking and crowd flow.
Special Skills: Experience in organizing large events or managing crowds is helpful but not mandatory. Volunteers who enjoy working with kids or have an interest in cars are encouraged to help.
Volunteers must follow any COVID-19 health and safety protocols in place at the time, including wearing masks, sanitizing hands regularly, and practicing social distancing when possible.
Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Volunteers should dress for the weather, especially for outdoor portions.
Festive attire is encouraged.
Volunteers are needed from 5 PM to 10 PM. Shifts can be divided as follows:
- Setup Crew: 5 PM - 6 PM
- Event Volunteers: 6 PM - 9 PM
- Cleanup Crew: 9 PM - 10 PM
