Celebrate the Spring Equinox with UTRGV's CTMObservatory & STARS
Twice a year, day and night fall into balance, lasting for nearly equal lengths. Known as equinoxes—Latin for “equal night”—they occur in March and September, and along with solstices, mark the changing of seasons as Earth travels around the Sun.
To celebrate this astronomical milestone, the South Texas Astronomical Society and UTRGV’s Cristina Torres Memorial Observatory are teaming up once again to share the latest space science research developments happening in Brownsville and to take the community through a virtual stargazing tour of the Spring night sky!
