Special WordPress Website Workshop for Non-Profit Organizations on WEDNESDAY - August 29, 2018 - 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
CodeRGV is offering a Free WordPress Website Workshop at the McAllen Incubator especially for Non-Profit Organizations that would like to be able to build and maintain their own WordPress website:

One or more representatives of your Non-Profit Organization are welcome to attend the Workshop. You will develop a free, basic WordPress website during the workshop which you can practice with and continue to develop as you wish, and later turn into a full-fledged website with your organization's own website address (domain name)
You will learn the basics of building a WordPress website, and some tips, tricks, and techniques
WordPress is now used for about 30% of all the websites on the internet, and its use continues to grow. The interface is highly structured and can be a little intimidating at first, but you will learn how to navigate the basics and by the end of the workshop you should have a free basic WordPress website that you can continue to develop whenever you like
Come and join us starting at 6:30 pm and we'll guide you as you build a customized website for your Non-Profit Organization, we should be finished before 9:30 pm
What You Will Need -
- An email address that you can use to set up your WordPress website account (best to use one of your organization's email addresses)
- A device (Laptop, Tablet, or Smartphone) that you can use to work on your website
- Any images or text that you may want to add to your website
- Basic knowledge of computer & internet use
Bring Your Own Device, laptop, tablet, or phone (it is best to bring a device with a larger screen, setting up a website using a tablet or phone can be very difficult, a bigger screen is better). WiFi will be available, but you can use your own data plan if you wish. Be sure to charge up your device's battery before class, as electrical outlets are limited.
