Who We Are

Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting experience for youth in the fifth grade through high school. Service, community engagement and leadership development become increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.

What We Do

Scouts, BSA Troop 84 services the Mission, Palmview, Sharyland, and McAllen area. The Scouts BSA program allows a child to develop over a series of ranks, each requiring specific accomplishments. We are an organization of volunteer parents and youth leaders that use the Scout Oath, Scout Law, Scout Motto, Scout Slogan, and the Outdoor Code to help build a child’s character. We offer opportunities to experience the great outdoors as well as learn new skills through merit badges. Scouts will gain leadership experience and work together with a youth/adult committee. We encourage families to be apart of our entire program, family scouting at its best.
