The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office mission is to provide a sense of security for the people by protecting life and property, reducing the opportunity for crime and disorder, enforcing the law, and providing other police-related services as required by the community in a manner consistent with the values of a free society.
What We Do
Quality of life begins with public safety, the members of the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office will form partnerships with other law enforcement and government agencies to address all crime and disorder issues. We will be guided by the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office core values of Integrity, Pride, and Community. We, therefore, reaffirm our commitment to community service and to the pursuit of excellence.
