Cinderella Pet Rescue

Who We Are

Cinderella Pet Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and no-kill shelter dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused, and neglected animals in the South Texas area, primarily Hidalgo County, but also in Starr and Cameron Counties. Our goal is to save as many pet lives as possible through rescue and adoption, reduce pet overpopulation through spaying/neutering programs, and provide educational opportunities to the public to become better pet guardians. Our primary mission is to rescue animals, rehabilitate them, and find them loving homes where they can live happily ever after.

What We Do

Rescue animals up to our capacity and provide medical care (including spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, etc.), good nutrition, and socialization to prepare the animals for adoption into qualified, loving homes.

Volunteers:  walk dogs, bathe dogs, clean kennels, socialize cats, clean litter boxes and cat castle, foster pets, file forms, update website and social media, photography, send thank-you letters, make follow-up calls, transport animals for surgery and/or adoption events, meet/interview prospective adopters, attend promotional events (TV, radio interviews), make facility repairs, including painting, mending fences, helping build new shelters and play yards, make educational presentations to promote spay/neuter and micro-chipping pets, etc.
