History: For more than 75 years, Goodwill Industries of South Texas has been a trusted community partner dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening the local workforce. What began as a small effort to provide opportunities has grown into a regional organization serving 20 counties, from Victoria to Brownsville, impacting thousands of lives each year through education, employment, and support services.

Goodwill Industries of South Texas advances its mission through a network of programs and services designed to help individuals enter, re-enter, and thrive in the workforce. We provide free job training, career readiness services, digital skills education, and workforce development programs to individuals facing barriers to employment, including veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those seeking a second chance. Through our Job Connections Centers, we offer access to computers, internet, job search assistance, resume building, certifications, and one-on-one coaching. Our retail stores and donation centers serve as the engine that powers this work; the sale of donated goods funds these life-changing programs at no cost to participants, while also supporting environmental sustainability through landfill diversion and reuse initiatives.
