Texas A&M University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral degrees. The Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen is included in Texas A&M University’s accreditation. The Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen opened its doors in 2018.
