McAllen Convention Center

Who We Are

The McAllen Convention Center is an 18.5 acre complex that hosts over 500 events each year and has an average attendance of 400,000 attendees annually. We are home to several signature events such as: The McAllen International CarFest, Administrative Professionals Day Fashion Show and Luncheon, Sunset Live Outdoor Concert Series and PalmFest International Folklife Celebration.

PalmFest "International Folklife Celebration" is a festival that celebrates the rich history and diverse culture of McAllen. With entertainment that excites you, historical displays that move you, shopping that thrills you and food that delights your palate, genuine and memorable experiences are part of the fabric of PalmFest. This two-day festival takes over the McAllen Convention Center District, including 174,000 square feet of indoor space. Over 40,000 attendees enjoy this event.

Volunteers are vital to the continued success of PalmFest. Volunteer opportunities will be posted after the summer. Save the date, October 7 & 8, 2017!
