Cinderella Pet Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and no-kill shelter dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused and neglected animals in the South Texas area, primarily Hidalgo County but also in Starr, and Cameron Counties. Our goal is to save as many pet lives as possible through rescue and adoption, by reducing pet overpopulation through spaying/neutering programs, and by providing educational opportunities to the public to become better pet guardians. Our primary mission is to rescue animals, rehabilitate them, and find them loving homes where they can live happily ever after.
Rescue animals up to our capacity and provide medical care (including spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, etc.), good nutrition and socialization to prepare the animals for adoption into qualified, loving homes.
Volunteers: walk dogs, bathe dogs, clean kennels, socialize cats, clean litter boxes and cat castle, foster pets, file forms, update websites, send thank-yous, make follow-up calls, transport animals for surgery and/or adoption events, meet/interview prospective adopters, attend promotional events (TV, radio interviews), make facility repairs or help build new shelters and play yards, make educational presentations to promote spay/neuter and micro-chipping pets, etc.
